Measuring Outside Mount For A Square Set Window
Because you will be outside mounting your frame on a window without an architrave, we've requested the exact measurements of your window. To ensure that your frame sits firmly around the window (rather than on the window panes), we've automatically added extra width and height to your measurement.
Automatic Additions For A Square Set Window
When measuring outside mount for a square set window, you will be measuring from wall to wall.
Our system will automatically add 76mm to the width and height of your window. The added measurement acts as an artificial architrave on each side, and ensures that the frame sits firmly on the outside of your window.
- 1. Measure the height of your window - bottom to top - in three different places;
- 2. Measure the width of your window - left to right - in three different places;
- 3. Compare your measurements and select the largest of the three.
Automatic Additions For A Square Set Window With A Sill
When measuring outside mount for a square set window with a sill, your height measurement should start at the top of the window sill.

- 1. Measure the height of your window - bottom to top - in three different places;
- 2. Measure the width of your window - left to right - in three different places;
- 3. Compare your measurements and select the largest of the three.
